2nd Half of the Roadtrip: Back through Illinois and stopping in Kansas City, MO

We left Monday and drove through Illinois and into Kansas City, Missouri.  We got lunch at a great BBQ place, Gate's, (of course we had to try KC BBQ!) and then walked through an outdoor art museum.

Giant Shuttlecocks, tehehe...
RJ's favorite piece of art.
Ryan's Best Friend Forever!
Of all the art, the two rows of trees leading up to the museum were my favorite thing; so beautiful, reminds of me Jane Austen novels.
Just an apartment complex.
Reminds me of Hello Dolly!
This boy loves red meat!
Gimme some more of that!
Finger lickin' good, literally!
Where's the beef?
All cleaned up!
Just playing outside the restaurant.

We also went to the National WWI Monument and Museum, which had the most amazing views and was just gorgeous in and of itself. Unfortunately we were not able to walk through the museum, but one day we will go back - I promised Ryan!

Mama wants kisses!  Ahhh, run!!!

We then went to the Negro League Baseball Museum, which was something Ryan was really looking forward to. We had a really great day!

Who's that guy daddy?
Just a weird peice of art with benches.
Made for a jazz singer from Kansas City.
Leaving Kansas City, for Kansas state!

Louisville, Kentucky for Mother's Day

Sunday (the day after the wedding) we got to say our good-bye's to Kelly and Kyle, as they went on their honeymoon. We then spent the day with my Aunt Lynn, my cousin Deanna, and my cousin Kelly's children Caden and Emma. We went to the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum where they make all of their bats, then we walked around a little and had lunch. It was a very nice afternoon and I am so glad we got to hang out with such lovely ladies on Mother's Day! My camera went dead during the wedding reception, so we had to buy a water-proof, disposable camera this day. The exposure is really bad, so I apologize if not all of the pictures are very clear. Either way, enjoy!

We are having a moment, do you mind?
Huh?
