RJ's first time bowling

No pictures sadly, but Crestview Lanes in the Carmichael area is closing this Thursday afternoon, and so we had to go!  RJ and Ryan were teamed up against me and actually won the first game!  hahaha  RJ got the kid's assisting ramp, and actually got a strike once!  We would say ready, set and he would say "GO!", he is such a big boy.  While he was waiting for mom or dad to bowl he would sit "behind the dots" and patiently wait.  He would also clap and cheer for mom and dad, and even himself sometimes!  I am so sad that this bowling alley is closing.  It is all brown and orange and really 60's (it opened in 1964) and I can just imagine people through the decades having good times there.  Now it'll just turn into another store...  Oh well, time goes on, and who says that it becoming another store is a bad thing?  Maybe it was meant to be an opportunity for someone else.  I love my little family and memories like this are priceless.  Hope everyone is well.

Heather's Kaleo 5K Run

My best friend Heather had a run this morning in Carmichael (she lives in Escalon, which is about an hour and a half south of Sacramento, and Carmichael is only about 15 miles away from me), so RJ and I met up with her to cheer her on and attend the festivites in general. The run was to raise money for the Carmichael Sheriff's Dept. K9 vet bills. There were all sorts of dogs there, including many runners'/walkers' dogs, and some off-duty dogs to demonstrate their capabilities. It was super fun, RJ really enjoyed petting dogs and just seeing them everywhere! Out of about 400 people who ran, Heather got 6th place in her age division - I am so proud of her!!! She has made a decision to run in an event every month this year, in order to eventually move on to longer and longer runs, and she has not missed a month yet, I don't think. I am hoping that we can go again next year with her to this event, but also that we can continue going to more of her runs/races in the near future, too!

Is that the Flash???  Nope, just my friend Heather!  : )
I think he was thinking, "OK, so I just watched these dogs attack people in crazy suits for 15 minutes, and now you want me to pet them and hug them???"  hahaha
This dog did not want Heather to leave.  : (
Another police dog named Rex who was so sweet and cute, and just happy to be there as you can see!
Kaleo, the dog who survived cancer with the help from money raised through a run/race a few years ago, I guess.  Now it is an annual thing, I am fairly certain...
Kaleo loved water bottles and RJ was glad to throw them to him, although I was a little nervous about him grabbing it out of RJ's hand!
Friends.  : )

A weekend alone?!

RJ went camping in Half Moon Bay with Cheryl, Ray, Liz, Robert and all the kids, so we got 2 1/2 days alone last weekend! It was very nice to have some time to just be still and not have to be attending to someone else all the time, but I was so happy to see him again when we came to Half Moon Bay after the Giant's game. RJ barely acknowledged us when we arrived, I guess because he was eating?, but when he was finished all of a sudden it was, "Mommy! Daddy!" The beach and park were gorgeous and RJ seemed to really be enjoying himself. The kids told me that they were making sand angels and finding shells and having tons of fun, so I am glad that RJ got to go! Here are some pictures taken before Ryan and I got there.

Cuzzies - apparently later on RJ got this out from under Delaney just as she was sitting down!  My goodness they are going to have so many fun times together!
Always walking with purpose!
He adores Savannah, as you can see!
This girl is so smiley and sweet, even with cat scratches on her poor little nose!
Hang loose, duuuude!
So pretty.  : )

Giant's Game with Heather & Aaron

We got to go to a Giant's game with our friends Heather and Aaron, without RJ, which was awesome!  We tailgated before the game, and then sat in the bleachers, which are some of the most fun seats, in my opinion.  The game was tied for a really long time so we got 2 free innings, which is always nice!  : )  We had a great time with them and hope to go to another game next season.

Stay classy.

Nice.

Delaney and RJ

We watched our neice Delaney a couple weeks ago while Ryan's parents had to unfortunately go to Washington. But, it was fun for Delaney and RJ and we enjoyed ourselves hanging with the babies, too!

Is that Yo Gabba Gabba?  (Or as Delaney calls it, "YoAbba")

I promise this dog is a truly loved and well-taken care of animal.

What's up, Winnie?

Upside-down hugs are the best, aren't they?

See, she loves them!  : )

Nottingham - A Totally Teen Musical!

My brother and sister were in a theatre camp this summer, at the end of which they performed "Nottingham - A Totally Teen Musical", which was a 50's version of Robin Hood. It was super cute, and of course my mom was in charge of making/assembling all of these awesome costumes. My sister seemed to really enjoy herself, but my brother was obviously having a total blast up there. In one scene he did the "twist" with as much gusto as the King himself! : ) Enjoy the pictures!
