Tahoe with the fam!

This year it was just me who made it up to Tahoe with my family.  Boo to Ryan being sick, bad weather and only one open seat, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles, and I had a great time, either way!  I got to ski with my brother and sister which was a total blast!  They are both doing so great, but Makenna has a few years on T, so she and I went a few more times alone, than T and I.  Makenna went to the top of the mountain with mom and me, and it was gorgeous.  I am so proud of her for trying it, and although it was challenging, atleast she proved to herself that she could do it!  Here are some pictures from the trip...

The view when Nancy and I were on the lift.  There was a circle in the middle of this really dark cloud that was making this really bright circle in the lake, it was really neat.  Really!  =)
Best of about 8 pictures I took, so be glad I spared you!

Mom and her girls.  This was the top!
This was already pretty far down the run, I am so proud of Makenna for doing this!  Look how steep it is!  It's a blue, but still!!!

Daddy and RJ

Daddy and RJ wrestling and Shooter interupting, what's new???  RJ loves to look in the mirror - I bet you think this post is about you, don't you?  Well it is, so, hmmm.

Trying to get a picture of RJ while at the peak of the throw.
Yay!!!  Hope everyone is well.

Biting with new teeth!

RJ has a set of molars on the bottom and the top now, which is exciting for him, not so much for us, when he BITES US!!!  He had biten me last week, and I figured it might be because his teeth were hurting, so I told him not to, obviously, but he has started biting out of anger!  Last week I had told him a few times that we were going to change his diaper, and then finally picked him up to do it.  He twisted himself around and tried to bite my arm!  Then last weekend I picked him when apparently he did not want to be, so when I put him up on my arm, so he was standing tall he leaned over my shoulder and tried to bite my shoulder blade!  Little stinker!!!  He will grow out of it, I am sure, but it is not nice and I hope he stops soon...

If all the raindrops were Lemon Drops and Gum Drops, oh what a rain that would be!

RJ and I were walking from the car to the house the other day and it was raining a little.  I looked at him and saw him stick his tongue out and try to catch rain drops!  What?!  No one has ever taught him this to my knowledge.  We have talked about rain and that it is water and we do signs for it, but I have never stuck my tongue out and tried to catch it...how sweet they are.  Young children really remind you how wonderful life is and that sometimes you need to stop and catch some raindrops on your tongue!!!  I love my son!

Christian's 8th Birthday

This weekend we went to Christian's 8th birthday celebration.  It seems like it was just a few months ago when we were celebrating his 7th!!!  Time sure flies, as you can see in these photos!  Delaney is so tall and getting more and more mobile!  She loves to hug her cousin RJ, and RJ loves it sometimes!  hahaha  =)  It was really nice to see everyone, and we can't wait to see them again soon!
RJ won the sword fight about three times in a row!
Grandpa and his babies.
Sweet cousins
She is so cute!
It's a long story, but Christian got an economy-sized package of conditioner from us for his birthday!
Babies loving tissue paper, what's new?

Zoo with Jill and Jake!

RJ and I went to the zoo with our friends Jill and Jake today. Jill and I met doing theatre at Sac State and she will sadly be moving to Alabama in not too long, so we need to make the most of the time we have together now! She currently lives in Woodland which is only about 10-15 miles North of where we live. RJ loved watching the giraffes and really loved the anteater. A lot of the animals were going "nigh-nigh's" enjoying the sun's beams on their rocks and such. Wow, that was poetic! Anyway, it was RJ's first time, and he really enjoyed not only going but visiting with our friends. Jake will be 2 in March and talks like a pro! We will be sad to see them go, but happy for their future!

The "Famous" Kaila and Savannah!

Our neices Kaila and Savannah are on a competitive cheer team called the Famous All-Star's and we got to go to their first competition in Sacramento at the convention center.  It was really fun and RJ got a kick out of the loud music - he danced quite a bit!  The girls had a really fun time, and although they did not win the highest title they did really well!  They seriously had the best stunts out of the whole group on their level...whatever!
